Steven Van Zandt is a musician, actor and activist. He was born in Brooklyn and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and Staten Island and is best known as the guitarist for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. He has also performed with many other musical artists, including Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, The Young Rascals, Richie Ramone, Joe Strummer of The Clash, Joey Ramone (bandmate of Johnny Ramone), The Big Three (with Steve Van Zandt and members of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band), The Hooters, Marky Ramone (Joe Strummer's younger brother) and Little Steven (who produced his first solo album).
